Pirate Treasure: 8 Swashbuckling Books for Gasparilla Pirate Fest

Ahoy, Matey! Every year about this time in Tampa, Florida, the city celebrates all things pirate with the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, a lavish city-wide reenactment of the 1904 invasion of Tampa Bay by the mythical pirate Jose Gaspar. The legend is fiction and the festival is mostly booze, parades and folks handing out plastic beads. We have a bookish alternative to the drunken mayhem. Avoid the looting and plundering by staying safely at home with a pint of grog and one of these pirate themed books.
